Biking in Death Valley

Spending some time on BLM land in an area known as Dodge City on the outskirts of Tecopa, CA. offers a beautiful desert mountain landscape with plenty of solitude. We enjoy soaking in the hot pools in the town of Tecopa and the variety of desert hikes in the area. The back road (178) into Death Valley National Park proves to be an amazing biking experience with very little traffic and amazing views of the wide open expanse of this amazing park.

Giving Thanks

Spending Thanksgiving in Tecopa Springs, CA. Population 150 full-time, 700 during winter. A scene out of a Mad Max movie....run down, decrepitude, nothing fancy here!! The gift...super hot and healing mineral pools and a town full of characters who couldn't be created by the best authors. A laid back nothingness, greatness, no rules kinda place. Loving life and living free! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The North Rim Of The Grand Canyon

Traveling south from Kanab, Utah the north rim of the Grand Canyon is about an 80 mile drive. We spent a perfect fall day exploring the area and enjoying the view from several canyon lookouts.
