About 8 miles north of the scenic town of Kanab on highway 89, sits Peek-A-Boo slot canyon (also known as Red Canyon). The hike from the trailhead follows a sandy 4-wheel drive track that winds through desert and dunes for about 4 miles. Walking in the soft, deep sand challenges calf muscles. Hiking in, exploring the short slot, and hiking back to the trailhead takes approximately three and a half hours.
