We left our little RV park in Shoshone, CA and spent the day exploring several hikes in Death ValleyNational Park. One mile north of Shoshone we take road 178, the back road into Death Valley. We stop to hike the Willow Creek Falls trail, a nice hike up a wash and into a narrow canyon ending at the falls.
Badwater Basin is the lowest point in the U.S. at 282 feet below sea level. We enjoy a walk out across the salt flats before making our driving loop through the south part of the park and back to Shoshone. A great day in a beautiful National Park.
